Requirements

To follow this course to any detail you need to know basic math on the level of a high-school diploma / Abitur. For instance, you need to know elementary functions (such as cosine, sine and the exponential function), you should be able to calculate derivatives, and you should know what an integral is. You should also be able to solve simple equations with one unknown. Please consult your old math school books or some elementary algebra books from a library.

For the parts taught by Laurenz Wiskott, it is not required to read the lecture notes ahead of time (work on your math instead), but it might be usefull to have them printed out for the lectures. Do this just before the lecture, because the lecture notes might still be updated. However, only a small part of the lecture notes will be covered in the lecture.

Schedule

Lectures go from 14:00-15:30 and 15:45-17:15.
