SS 2009 Model-based data analysis Seminar Prof. Dr. Laurenz Wiskott and others from the INI

Seminar (1 SWS): biweekly Tuesdays 16:15-17:45 Uhr (first seminar 5.5.) in the INI seminar soom ND 03/89,92.

The goal of this seminar is to bring together experimentalists of the neurosciences and related disciplines to discuss problems of model-based data analysis and learn some basic and maybe also some more advanced mathematical methods. The seminar will probably contain the following elements:

• lectures and exercises on mathematical methods of model-based data analysis
• presentation of concrete data of the participants and discussion about its analysis
• presentation and discussion of good examples from the literature

This seminar is an experiment. Its success depends heavily on the active involvement of the participants and there is a lot of room to shape it such that it is of maximal use to them.
