research

I work currently in the area of non-linear support vector machines, and especially in the realm of large scale data (where large is defined to be larger than the memory, not google-large), being funded by Mercator Research Center Ruhr. Here i do analyze several different algorithms and compare their asymptotics. For more on the project take a look at our project webpage at www.largescalesvm.de. My main interest is to do research along the borderlines of the two big areas in machine learning, support vector machines and deep neural networks.
