Model-based data analysis

Seminar (1 SWS): biweekly Tuesdays 16:15-17:45 Uhr (first seminar 27.10.) in the INI seminar room ND 04/172.

The goal of this seminar is to bring together experimentalists of the neurosciences and related disciplines to discuss problems of model-based data analysis and learn some basic and maybe also some more advanced mathematical methods. The seminar will probably contain the following elements:

lectures and exercises on mathematical methods of model-based data analysis
presentation of concrete data of the participants and discussion about its analysis
presentation and discussion of good examples from the literature

The concrete content and format will depend on and be tailored to the participants.

BTW: There are a lot of courses available specifically on statistics, which will not be the main focus of this seminar, e.g.
